Peer to Peer Dialogues

The peer to peer dialogues are part of the CEB Task Force‘s ongoing efforts to engage actors from within and outside of the UN to strengthen approaches and actions on sexual harassment, the objective of the Task Force’s outreach and knowledge sharing efforts. Reports and recordings of the individual dialogues are accessible below.

Summary Publications

An overview of the reflections on the first series of peer-to-peer learning dialogues including key messages and recommendations from panelists have been compiled in a publication here.

In April 2023 a new publication based on peer-to-peer learning dialogues conducted in 2021, 2022, and 2023, which provides overview of the different themes discussed during the  dialogues and puts forward concrete recommendations to prevent and eliminate sexual harassment in the UN system and beyond was published by UN Women, which is leading the effort.

OCTOBER 2021 - MAKING ZERO TOLERANCE A REALITY: PEER-TO-PEER LEARNING TO PREVENT AND ELIMINATE SEXUAL HARASSMENT IN THE UN SYSTEM AND BEYOND

To strengthen outreach and the sharing of knowledge, in the first half of 2021, the Outreach and Knowledge Sharing workstream of the Task Force hosted four peer-to-peer learning dialogues to prevent and eliminate sexual harassment in the UN system and beyond. The workstream has compiled an overview of the reflections on the peer-to-peer learning dialogues including key messages and recommendations from panelists as well as summaries of the dialogues.

FEBRUARY 2021 - DIALOGUE WITH UN MEMBER STATES ON ADDRESSING SEXUAL HARASSMENT

A dialogue between Member States and the CEB Task Force on Addressing Sexual Harassment within the Organizations of the United Nations took place virtually on 8 February 2021 as part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen actions to addressing sexual harassment within the UN system and beyond. The meeting was hosted by the Task Force together with the Group of Friends to eliminate sexual harassment, the UN Secretariat and UN Women.
