United Nations Secretary-General's Data Strategy
This section contains data collected by the CEB Secretariat from the organizations of the United Nations system. Data includes personnel with staff contracts or on staff appointments for one year or more as at 31 December of the respective year. Staff on temporary appointments are included once they have been employed for at least one year. The latest data is as at 31 December 2025 (CEB/2026/HLCM/HR/18).
The data is comprehensively available in the official CEB Personnel Statistics. All inquiries on the data should be submitted through the contact form.
DATA CHANGE LOG
October 2026: HR data for all years were rebuilt using a consistent method. Historical records were corrected to remove duplicate entries, improve the inclusion of UN Secretariat staff administered by UNDP, and exclude staff with contracts of less than one year. Current (2026) city and country names are used throughout. As a result, some figures may differ from earlier versions.
